Los Angeles, CA, CA - Heidi Klum awards her Golden Buzzer to a singing janitor on the season premiere of America’s Got Talent. The supermodel was so wowed with singer Richard Goodall, 55, that she sent him straight through to the live rounds – and left the school janitor in tears of joy. Richard appeared quiet and nervous as he first walked out onto the AGT stage, telling everyone he was a janitor from Terra Haute, Indiana. After he revealed he always wanted to be a singer but had never really pursued his dream, judge Simon Cowell told him not to be nervous before asking him what song he was going to sing. Richard simply replied: “I think the song speaks for itself.” As Richard prepared to audition, Cowell leaned over to Sofia Vergara and whispered: “I hope he’s good, I really do.” And Richard was – stunning Cowell, Klum, Vergara, Howie Mandel and the audience as he belted out Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing. The audience cheered him on and the judges danced along, leaving Richard choking back tears. At the end of the performance, Cowell told him: “Richard, you are my hero because that was special, genuinely special. I think America is going to love you.” Klum then gushed: “I mean that was spectacular, that was fun. This was an amazing surprise. I think you were perfect to come to AGT because that made our night.” Klum was so moved by Richard’s voice so jumped up out of her seat and used her Golden Buzzer to make his dreams come true. As Richard broke down crying, Klum rushed onto the stage to hug him and present him with some golden confetti that was raining down from the ceiling.
